The teacher education programs in LIU Post's Department of Teaching & Learning are nationally accredited by the Association for Advancing Quality in Educator Preparation (AAQEP). All of LIU’s education degrees are designed to help you become a knowledgeable, compassionate and inspiring teacher in your chosen subject area and grade level. Below are some of the standout dual certification Bachelor of Science degree options:

  • BS in Adolescence Education and Students with Disabilities: Prepare to teach math, social studies or English in grades 7-12, along with students with disabilities across all grade levels.
  • BS in Childhood Education and Early Education: A 120-credit program for certification to teach infants, toddlers and students in grades 1-6.
  • BS in Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities: Designed to equip you to teach students with and without disabilities in grades 1-6, and students with disabilities across all grade levels.
  • BS in Early Childhood Education and Students with Disabilities: A 120-credit program that prepares you to teach students with and without disabilities from birth through grade 2, and students with disabilities across all grades.
