Nazareth University’s broad academic offerings present a range of study options typical of larger universities, yet achieved in a supportive campus culture. Nearly 2,100 undergrad and 600 graduate students enroll in degree and certificate programs and engage in collaborative, transformative learning experiences, preparing for the professions and society of today and tomorrow.
Teacher education programs have been integral to Nazareth University since its founding. The university offers a wide variety of undergraduate, graduate and post-master programs that meet the needs of any potential candidate seeking teacher certification.
Nazareth University has earned the following awards and distinctions:
- Earned Top Education College of Distinction for commitment to nurturing and supporting future educators and equipping students with necessary skills and experience.
- Partners with Rochester City School District for ROC Teacher Urban Fellows teacher residency program.
- Over 91 percent of all teacher candidates passed their teacher certification exams.
- In a recent employment survey, all administrators indicated that they were "extremely likely" to hire a Nazareth teacher education program graduate.

Grants, Stipends, Scholarships
Merit Scholarships- These scholarships are based on merit. The award is up to $23,000.
Bonner Leader Scholarship Program- Available to students who are committed to community engagement. The award is up to 50 percent of tuition.
Young Scholars Program- Available to high-achieving, underrepresented students. The award is full tuition funding.
RCSD Graduates Award- Available if you graduate from the Rochester City School District, New York. The award is up to $76,000 over four years.
