Within six months of graduation, 94 percent of New York Tech graduates are employed or go on to graduate school.

The university offers three graduate degree programs:

  • MS in Early Childhood Education
  • MS in Childhood Education
  • MAT Grades 7-12 in either Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Social Studies, English or Math 

Online classes allow you to complete your degree on your schedule. The small faculty ensures your success from admission to obtaining your certification. All teacher preparation programs are New York State-approved and accredited by the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation.

The master's programs at New York Tech set the stage for success in the classroom—for both you and your students. You'll learn to nurture students' cognitive, social, emotional and physical development and successfully integrate technology into all aspects of teaching and learning.

New York Tech's focus on diversity ensures you will develop culturally responsive teaching practices and be able to work with diverse student populations—skills that are in great demand. Upon graduation, you will be eligible for your New York State teaching certification in your area of study.

Early Childhood and Childhood Education programs have 39 credits. Flexible scheduling allows you to take one to four classes per semester, depending on the schedule and course offerings. The average student completes the program in 18-24 months.
