Russell Sage College is a private nonprofit college with campuses in Albany and Troy, New York, serving a diverse body of more than 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students. With a mission focused on access to quality education, 100 percent of incoming full-time undergraduate students receive institutional, federal or state financial aid. The College’s success in achieving its mission is shown in its ranking by U.S. News & World Report for 2024 as 15th among national universities for Social Mobility and 35th for Best Value.
The Esteves School of Education at Russell Sage College offers accredited undergraduate and graduate programs leading to initial and professional teacher certification in New York State. The College’s education programs provide a positive education approach to teaching and hands-on classroom experiences.
Russell Sage College has earned the following distinctions:
- 97 percent of graduates report that they are likely to remain in education.
- 94 percent of graduates passed New York State tests required for teaching, surpassing the average statewide pass rate of 84 percent.
- 98 percent of graduates rated their overall preparation as good or very good.
- 94 percent of recent graduates are employed or accepted to graduate school after graduation.
