Program Info

The Touro Undergraduate Education program and Touro Graduate School of Education partner to provide undergraduate students with two pathways to eligibility for initial teacher certification:

  • The first pathway is via the Undergraduate Education program. The education major allows you to take five graduate courses in the Graduate School of Education as part of your undergraduate degree program, two of which are clinical courses. You become eligible for initial teacher certification when you complete your education major.
  • The second pathway is via the Honors Teacher Preparation Pathway program. This pathway allows you to take four graduate courses in the Graduate School of Education as part of your undergraduate degree program. After graduation, you continue to a Graduate School of Education program to become eligible for initial and professional certification. This pathway is designed for undergraduate students who are not majoring in education.
