The Educator Preparation Program offers a wide variety of pathways to New York State classroom teaching certification in areas such as math, the sciences, special education, childhood and early childhood education and more. Utica offers programs at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Utica also offers an alternative certification graduate program to reduce the time to become certified and classroom-ready.
The Educator Preparation Program has been awarded grant funding, which the university uses to offset the cost of your tuition.

Robert Noyce Teacher Scholarship Program- This scholarship provides funding to recruit and prepare STEM majors and professionals to become K-12 teachers. The program seeks to increase the number of K-12 teachers with strong STEM content knowledge who teach in high-need school districts.
Work Study, Working While Still Enrolled
Utica University has student employment options, including work-study. You can earn up to $3,000 per academic year in federal work-study funding.
